Arts, Cultures and Education
Welcome to NERA's 38th Congress, ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP, 11-13 March 2010 at Malmö University.
The network session Arts, Culture and Education in Malmö will focus on Arts Education and Aesthetic Learning connected to the congress theme Active Citizenship.
This NERA network has its main focus on aesthetic learning through the arts, music, drama, sloyd, craft, play and creativity as resources for learning in different institutions and outside institutions. Different theoretical perspectives of aesthetic learning are held by the members in the network. Given this interest the network invites different methodological approaches to the study of aesthetic learning.
The aim of the network is to stimulate researchers to meet, discuss and exchange scientific ideas including both theoretical and empirical subjects. Of special interest today is to understand the contribution of the arts and aesthetic knowledge to the child's or the adult's interpretation of life in the present and the future. The aim theme of the network is Arts Education and Aesthetic Learning.
