Adult learning - at work, in education and everyday life
The network has existed since the 1990s and deals with questions about adult learning in different settings, formal and non-formal education as well as non-formal and informal learning in workplaces and everyday life.
The papers at the yearly conferences cover a wide range of themes and perspectives. A quick glance at the titles from the year of 2000 and onwards gives the following picture: Work-place learning (30%), formal and/or popular adult education (30%), studies of different adult learning settings (10%), teachers as learners and teacher education (10%), adult learning theories and concepts (10%) and other topics, for instance core competences and recognition of prior learning, (10%).
So far, most activities within the network have taken place during the annual congresses. Hopefully, this homepage can make it easier to keep in contact between the congresses, invite each other to seminars and announce new publications
within the field of adult learning.
